Terms of Service
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Orbl (“the app”), visiting orbl.app (“the site”), or purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use Orbl or this site.
What Orbl is
Orbl is a macOS application that displays a live, ambient desktop experience with optional widgets and third-party integrations. The app itself is free. Certain integrations require a one-time license key purchased through this site.
License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Orbl on Mac computers you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable law. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the app except where permitted by law.
Integration license keys
- A paid license key unlocks integrations in the app. Pricing and availability are shown on the site at the time of purchase.
- Unless stated otherwise at checkout, an integration license is a one-time purchase for the version of Orbl available at the time of sale and reasonable future updates to the app.
- License keys are validated via Dodo Payments. You are responsible for keeping your key secure. Keys are intended for your own use and may be subject to activation limits.
- Refunds, if offered, are handled according to the refund policy shown at checkout or required by applicable consumer law.
Third-party services
Integrations connect to services you choose (Stripe, GitHub, ChartMogul, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. Orbl is not responsible for third-party outages, API changes, pricing, or data handling by those providers.
Payments on this site are processed by Dodo Payments. By purchasing a license, you also agree to applicable payment processor terms.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use Orbl lawfully and in compliance with macOS and third-party API terms.
- Provide accurate information when purchasing a license.
- Keep API keys and license keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under credentials stored in your Keychain.
- Grant system permissions only when you understand and want the related features.
Disclaimer
Orbl is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Widgets and integrations display information for convenience; do not rely on Orbl as the sole source for financial, legal, medical, or safety-critical decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbl and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or site. Our total liability for any claim relating to Orbl or a license purchase will not exceed the amount you paid us for the license in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50 if you have not made a purchase.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Updates and changes
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after Terms are updated constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
Termination
You may stop using Orbl at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to license validation if you materially breach these Terms or abuse the service.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply in your country of residence.
