Integration
Live exchange rates on your desktop
Add the exchange rate integration to Orbl and show live FX between any two currencies on your macOS wallpaper. Local, read-only and private — no account.
If you bill in one currency and live in another, the rate matters every day — Orbl keeps live FX between any two currencies on your wallpaper, ready at a glance.
Orbl turns your macOS desktop into a calm, living dashboard. Connect the exchange rate integration, pick two currencies, and the live rate settles quietly behind your windows, updating on its own. No converter tab, no mental math — the number is just there.
What Orbl shows
With the exchange rate integration connected, Orbl can display:
- The live exchange rate between any two currencies you choose
It's a clean, single-value widget. Choose a size — small, medium, or large — and set it to always-on, reveal-only, or off. Keep your invoicing pair always visible, and reveal a travel pair only when you need it.
How to connect exchange rate to Orbl
- Open Settings → Integrations in Orbl.
- Select the Exchange rate integration and choose your two currencies.
- Add the rate widget to your wallpaper and pick its size and visibility.
That's the whole setup. Orbl reads public rate data, so there's no account to connect and nothing personal involved.
Private by design
Orbl is 100% local. Your currency choices live on your Mac, and rates are fetched directly from your Mac — there is no Orbl server in between, and nothing is collected or stored remotely. Orbl shows public FX data, never anything about your finances. The full explanation is on our privacy page.
What's on your wallpaper is a public rate. Orbl never sees an account or a balance.
Pairs well with
If you keep an eye on markets, the exchange rate widget sits naturally beside the rest. Add the crypto integration for a coin's price and 24h change, and watch fiat and crypto side by side on one live wallpaper dashboard. See the full set on the integrations page.
One price, kept forever
The exchange rate integration is part of Orbl Premium — a one-time $29 for the first 50 customers, then $49. Lifetime license, no subscription. Full details on the pricing page.
Once you have a license, paste it into Settings → License Key and every integration unlocks together.
Let the rate live where you already look. Get Orbl Premium and keep your currencies on the wallpaper.
